This year for American Thanksgiving Michael and I were invited down to Washington DC to celebrate with our friends John and Dina; and many others! We celebrated in style at the historic "Willard Hotel" in Washington, located just two blocks away from the White House; with a splendid view of many of the amazing monuments. Some FANTASTIC history involved in this hotel. The term 'Lobbying' originated from the Willard. Politicians would meet President Lincoln in the Lobby of the Willard to discuss their current petitions. VERY COOL. Also- for all you Opera Buffs out there- Baby Doe's "Silver Aria" in The ballad of Baby Doe was set in the Willard Hotel. VERY VERY COOL!!
