NYC

so big fancy daddy was invited to represent NEC at the classical singer convention in new york city this past weekend. we were put up in the hilton new york just across the street from radio city music hall. mom and eva had a great weekend taking in all the ny has to offer (okay- in fairness we didn't take in even a fraction of what ny has to offer- but we sure did take in everything the park had to offer!)

what more do you need on a trip to new york city than central park? apparently if you are traveling with a preschooler- absolutely nothing. mom did her research- she had some major plans- but they were all taken off the list in favour of spending our entire weekend in this magical place. we tasted parks with the attention to detail and bliss with which most adults taste wine. my, how things have changed.

in one of central parks many many gazebo's. we spoke to a justice of the peace in this one who was performing her third wedding of the day in the park. apparently you can rent them out in 2 hours blocks for 'next to nothing'- which could be NYC talk for 25 grand- let's face it.

oh the marble slide. this particular stop kept our attention for at least 2 hours. you think i'm kidding. nope. at least two hours. up. down. up. down. up. down.

zip, zip, zip

then about half way through the marathon another kid finally gave up a piece of cardboard to the little munchkin and she was off to the races.
other parents were actually laughing at the kind of speed this kid had going on. after 2 or 3 times down mom started to chill out a bit.

oh ya- you're here Mom!! I forgot...

the water park in central park was a major hit. we stopped by just before we changed into dry gear and hit the road. we could have spent the entire weekend here and the child would not have put up the slightest argument.
